Even though it's a bit flimsily construct, I would recommend the x2vga+
Unlike many video-to-VGA converters, it does not upsample component
video to VGA, but rather uses hi-definition output to produce
hi-definition VGA signals.
The one downside is that it does a terrible job of displaying 480i.
It's shakey and you can only see 1/2 of the screen at a time. (There's
a button to scroll horizontally through a virtual window that is twice
as wide as your screen.)
I see that they now have an x2vga2 that takes component input from two
different devices. It still claims that it's putting out hi-def, but
I'm not sure if that's possible. Perhaps someone can comment: Can you
get 480p, 720p and 1080i off of standard component video?
