Castrovalva, based on a large script in a large spiral galaxy. Twenty
players are welcome to join. The game is intended for intermediate to
expert players but less experienced players are advised to contact me
for a bit of help in set up and race choices.

The game is scripted and the galaxy is poor. There are, however a few
richer areas and the IMT can sell metal and information to those who
need them.

Players will start with about 1.5 million colonists on 6 bases. Each
player will have a very weak fleet and no Homeworld goodies or parts.

This is likely to be a long game and players should understand that they
are expected to make a reasonable effort to stay with it until the end
of their race's ability to hold together. Dropouts after turn 25 will be
deceased and set to the AI, so they will not be passive allies or easy
pickings.

The IMT will not intentionally compete with players, there will likely
be some situations where collisions will occur, the IMT will always try
to back away from these situations.

Checking the URL you give - are all the races are predefined? I see you
are player #21 (IMT) and there's one of every other race.

3 turns a week on a large map sounds like a hard slog. Do you envisage
it being a VP based victory? If so I think some race slots may be hard
to fill.

I figure once people get going the game will slow down. I expect an
agreed end at some point, some one will likely pull way ahead during mid
game.

The beginning of these games are often a bit dull, so I have raised
starting techs to: planets-5, superW-0, LW-5, smW-5, PD-5, Gn-5, Eng-5,
Hull-5, Hype-5, Shd-5.

I realize that some races are hard to fill, but with a large script, I
can zap races as needed, or modify a few bits here and there to make a
race workable for the newbie who doesn't know that , say the Dracos
can't win. I didn't know that the Dracos and the Peeps were unable to
win, when I won with them. Now I know better...
