Post subject: MAME Monitor Help Needed Please.
Archived from groups: alt>games>mame (more info?)

Hello all.

I am trying to set up a MAME system. I am using a P3 1GHZ processor
with 512 MB Ram with a Radeon 9250 video card. I am usind a JPAC to
manage the system.

The arcade monitor that I am using came out of an NFL Blitz. It is a
Wells-Gardner U5000 monitor. It is medium resolution and operates
Horizontal frequency at either 15MHZ or 25MHZ based on a plug on the
board.

I have been trying to set it up using the 25MHZ setting. In ADVMAME
when I use the Generic 25MHZ option and test it, I am getting the
centering screen, however, it is scrolling horizontally. I have tried
to adjust the Horizontal hold pot., but cannot seem to stop it from
scrolling. I do have the jumper on the the 25MHZ on the J-PAC.

Any ideas on what I might try?
