Most of the Chuck Norris jokes were based on his "badassness" of Delta
Force and of course, Walker - Texas Ranger.

Someone was bored, the only link Chuck Norris has is one GM saying
that when the Unstoppable Force and the Immovable Object Meet Chuck
Norris comes down and round house kicks everybody.

It was an internet 'thing' a while back that lasted a month or two.
Lots of forwarded emails and a couple sites with jokes came up. Then
everyong got tired of it.

The thing is, the barrens is so freaking huge there are too many
people there. When the Chuck Norris jokes were in their prime you
couldn't go 10 seconds without hearing something about Chuck. So even
though the Chuck Norris thing is long since dead, some people (myself
included) tend to spout Chuck Norris nonsens in Barrens General chat.

Because... hey, I had to suffer through it. It only takes one person
saying one and you have 3-4 other people going through their list of
Norris jokes they remember.

I still like the one about Chuck Norris, tea leaves or bags, and
something about potatos. I can't quite remember it though.

I have to admit, I think the jokes are kinda funny - maybe it's 'cause
I grew up watching Walker. But, of course, everybody has to take it
too far and it becomes unfunny. I do like that there's the Mountain
Dew commercial with Chuck Norris, though. That's freaken hilarious.

The barrens tends to be a very lonely place because it's so
huge. So when people start getting stir crazy, the jokes
come out.

I don't think there were that many Chuck jokes. I thought
it was just a fad that had passed for a long time since
the Barrens chat was normally so quiet for me, but then
I heard one. But people hit a limit quickly, so that even
once a month is too much for some people. Sort of how some
people don't like puns and even one will make them mad.

Barren's chat is great! Ok i said it. Yes for the most it is
completely juvenile but at times entertaining. The Barrens is jsut
one long grind to get out into the rest of the game. It is the place
where you can go to level everything when you are a lowby. What
better thing to do than chat away on random topics and laugh at Chuck
Norris jokes. I puposefully go to barrens to level fishing just so I
can get in on intriguing banter. Yes, it can be annoying but take it
for what it is worth...Barrens chat is infamous. Enjoy. There is no
other place like it in the game.

I've NEVER said anything about Chuck Norris in chat, but I have to
admit...it's old...it's lame ...used up...but to an extent I still
think it's funny. I just ignore it if it starts geting out of hand,
but I don't mind people trying to get a laugh even if it is OLD.
