network gaming - client computer - unable to join

hi jimmy
i did the following
formated the ICS server PC and placed xp back in ...this
time no SP2 only sp1 in both machines... works like a
dream firewalls were off....
then i decided to get a router
i did get a EDIMAX BR-6104k and after 1000 attemps i made
to reach zone on bothe computers and actually play with
other players.... then i tryed to Host a game in Both
computers nope... only my computers could reach the
game room ...othe players in the zone lobby could not...i
went to reda manual,...over and over again..learned a bit
been to your pages... loads of times..followed links till
i get this page wher they teach how to configure all
sorts of routers ...edimax there, was pretty similar to
mine..but menus are difrent slightly difren too..better...
but i dont know what are all those ports ..private portrs
public ports...argyhhhhhhhhhhhhh numbers and where to
place em
i did get in the router pre-installed games sites like
zone ... and thos numbers

Hi OKPC,

The manufacturer of the router will be able to provide the
support you need to enter those port numbers. Most of
the models sold today provide free 800 tech support.
