This came up last game -
The cleric moved through a threatened space (actually several) and took
AoOs for doing so, then cast a healing spell. I ruled that since the
AoOs were for the movement, and not the spellcasting that they didn't
disrupt his spellcasting, and no concentration check was required.
Is that right?

Yes. You only need to make concentration checks against damage if you take
it *whilst* spellcasting (or doing something else that requires
Concentration). The two standard ways to achieve that are:
Ready an action to attack the spellcaster when he begins casting.
Attack a spellcaster who is casting a spell with a casting time of 1 round
or more.
I believe a caster who is in an area that inflicts constant round-by-round
damage (such as on the 'hot' side of a Wall of Fire) must also make a
Concentration check, but I'm not certain.

Right.
Interestinly, a spellcaster might actually do that on purpose: move near
the enemy to provoke an AoO, and then cast a really important spell you
don't want to lose, rather than having to cast defensively. (Best hope
the enemy doesn't have Combat Reflexes...)

That's correct. The DC is slightly lower: 10 + half the damage dealt +
spell level instead of 10 + damage + spell level.

Agreed--he wasn't casting when he took the AoOs. >> Stay informed about: Does movement AoO disrupt spellcasting? |

Sounds good to me; like in real life moving right next to someone with a
shotgun; you could get shot, stabbed or even head-butted when you get close,
but if you're not down by the time the barrel's against them...
