Does anybody remember the name of the mod that added merchants and
storage chests to every teleport destination? I quite possibly have it
on my hard drive, but with ~800 mods to look through, finding it
without the name is harder than I'd like.

Hmm, maybe Shakti's Temple Fences. Never played that myself, but I
recall hearing about it.

Hmm, looks like I am not the only one sorting through mods, thinking
about playing again. Smile

Are you a member of the guild when you take the soul gems? Stuff in
the chest is always marked as guild property (as rank associate, if I
recall correctly). If you match the requirements, it is not marked as
stolen. Same with fighters guild chests. You can check the ownership
by using the 'tfh' (toggle full help) command in the console.

Ah, that's the one. No, I don't have it, so I guess I'll do a little
searching.

By the way, I've just had to restart my game because of a flaw in this
mod. It adds soulgems of all types to Mages Guild containers, but
those gems are marked as guild property, so if you pick them up all
your soulgems get marked as stolen. So I don't recommend it.

Hmm, your problem was NOT Temple Fences. I put the Temple Fences in
my game (my but they have a LOT of gold), went to Balmora, took the
soul gems from the chest (which only had the three lesser gems it
always does) and Galbedir was happy to see me. I think another mod
must have been your problem. You can use 'ori' to check the origin of
the soul gems in question if you are so inclined.

Yes, I was an Associate member at the time, and all the other items in
the chest were fine - it was only the soulgems. So, unlike most items
in chests, these actually had their ownership set separately, which
means they're only suitable for players who intend to self-enchant
exclusively. I've removed the mod anyway, as it's not really worth the
bother of working around - I can buy sufficient gems for my needs once
I find the right enchanter shop.

No, it wasn't Temple Fences, it was the "soulgem bonus" mod I quoted
up above.
