Today, you get hardly every that. Oh, Merc manages to find out one or
two bad reviews of 360 stuff and does his troll under a bridge magic
happy dance. But the bulk now are now High Def DVD format wars, and
PS3 price and problems with chip product.

Any hope of getting back to talk about the GAMES?

I'm sure that'll happen when games are actually released for anything
other than the 360. It's a bit difficult just now....though there's been
plenty of poking fun at the lack of similarity between the PS3 launch
game screenshots and the pre-rendered movies which were shown at E3 2005.

Maybe when games worth talking about surface?
I just glanced over the list of upcoming games for the 360 and nothing
"I-must-have-titles" are coming out until late fall early winter (if they
don't get pushed back!).

Won't happen until the Wii and PS3 actually come out. Right now I'd
wager that very few people in this group have actually played a PS3
game.

Ninety-Nine Nights Action 15-Aug-2006
LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Action/Adventure 12-Sep-2006
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent Tactical 26-Sep-2006

The demo bored me quick!

> ChromeHounds Action 11-Jul-2006

I don't care for mech games even a lil bit.
Some of the early reviews I read don't care for the game in general.

> ! Dead Rising Action 08-Aug-2006 (Didn't know it was this soon!)

Interested but not a must have title for me.

> Ninety-Nine Nights Action 15-Aug-2006

I don't know a thing about this game.
I will look it up.

> LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Action/Adventure 12-Sep-2006

These games are fun but only if it's a 39.99 title or cheaper would I mess
with it.

> Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent Tactical 26-Sep-2006

Forgot about SC. That is a must have for me.

> TimeShift FPS 26-Sep-2006

Interested but then again I was very interested in PREY as well.
I sure hope it turns out better than PREY.

I love talking about games, but since I'm too cheap to buy new games at
full price, by the time I get them, everyone else is tired of talking
about them. Maybe what we need is a discussion group just for people
who are playing older games.

LOL! Same here. I picked up Mercenaries,Gun, and Hulk Ultimate Destruction
at my local Pawnshop for $14 each a couple of weeks ago and can't stop
playing Mercenaries! I wanted to post about how great this game is, but
since it's been out awhile I figured no one would care. I have to say this
game is one of the funniest games I've ever played period. I can spend hours
just driving around with a gunner and blowing up NK jeeps. The game play is
so open ended that I see myself enjoying this game for a very long time. I
really enjoy how well the vehicles handle, and flying a helicopter is a
blast. The game world is so alive it never gets old. It's like playing army
men when I was a kid, but this is way more fun! Anyway great game for any of
you guys that might have missed it. IMHO the game looks amazing for an Xbox
title. The detail is fantastic and the whole game really makes you feel like
your in the middle of a war.
Still amazes me how great some games can look on the good old Xbox. Just
when I think I've seen the best graphics the thing can possibly pump out,
along comes a game like this that really makes me happy to be an Xbox owner.

I'd be up for that Wink

Currentally playing FFX, with a huge stack of games still left to play
through.

Given how the 360 and PS3 are shaping up, I'll probably wait at least a
year before considering either of them. By then, they'll hopefully be
cheaper, and have some bargin games.

The other advantage of waiting is that you can really get a sense for
what's worth buying and what's worth skipping.
