Levitate Spells.

I may be wrong, but I haven't seen one at all in Oblivion. I liked levitate
spells. I would get myself up somewhere out of the reach of all the whacking
and biting and clawing and throw spells and arrows at my foe.

So, at the risk of being redundant I will say it again - I miss levitate
spells

There is no levitate in Oblivion. Some modders have added the spell
and quickly discovered WHY the developers took it out. City cells ONLY
load if you enter through the gates. With levitate you can walk over
the walls and into... a paper cutout. No people, no life, non "real"
buildings. Its just paper scenery to be viewed from a distance.

Now, most people will complain that this loading system was used to
make the game compatible with XBox and that starts another flame war.
Either way, there is no levitate and adding it through a user mod will
have some odd effects. There have been calls by users for modders to
merge ALL cells into the world (so no more loading to enter a city). I
really doubt that will happen or that even a high end computer could
handle the results but you never know.

this topic has been done to death, you should read the archives!

however I guess it should be explained again...... this game has been made
"more accessible" (read consolitus/dumbed down). to make areas load quicker
around the outside of a town, all npcs are located inside towns to reduce
ram usage. there has to be a door to enter towns to confine them there. the
more doors the less ram usage.... which means you cant levitate over a town
as you will see them empty and not detailed very well. also when you enter
an oblivion gate if you could levitate you could avoid everything and just
fly straight to the signet stone room to close it without any of the
adventure.

but yeah we all miss levitate

Oblivion (though a good game.......IMHO 8.5/10) is a shadow of what it could
have been.......if you take all the things that are great about Morrowind
and update them with 4 years of technology, 4 years of dedicated modders
work, 4 years of listening to the Elder Scrolls fans................and
throw them ALL in the trash inorder to please the console crowd............
Then you get the bastardized spawn that B$ call Oblivion...........

What I miss from MW are unique names for every villain - in Oblivion, there
are just Bandits, Marauders etc.
Also the caves, ruins and mines should be more diverse, almost every one of
them looks like a clone. They are also very narrow, unlike in MW, and what I
miss a lot in those places is WATER!

I have found some stuff underwater. It is, however, very difficult
to see--what with the dark and all. There is at least one underwater
chest in the sewers of the Imperial City, for example. If you are not
right on top of it with a good light, you will not see it. I've also
done some underwater swiming to get to new areas. But, with the dark,
it is less satisfying than MW water. More barren, too.

I haven't found anything under the water either. OK, a couple of slaugher
fish (usually inside a cave or sewer rather than in the actual water) and
some clams, but no underwater caves - or maybe I just haven't looked hard
enough.

Nope, no Rising Force potions. There are things I miss from Morrowind,
sure, but Oblivion is overall more fun. I'd say about half of that is
because it's so much prettier, and half because there are no ****ing
Cliff Racers.

I occasionally play works by contemporary composers and for two
reasons. First to discourage the composer from writing any more and
secondly to remind myself how much I appreciate Beethoven. Jascha

I miss levitation. I never use the horses, so to me that is no substitute.
