I have a 4X madcat memory card in my GC. I have about 60 or so games
and the card is about filled up with only a few blocks left. I just
picked up MOrtal Combat a couple weeks ago and there arent enuff
blocks to play the game properly plus any more games I get will not
have any room on the card. I cant play all 60 games at once and many
games I got stuck on and by the time I go back to them I will probably
want to start over anyway, I have one big problem: I am totally
addicted to a game called Sphinx and the curse of the mummy and I am
half way thru it and there is no way in hell I am gonna start that
baby over again (you cant abort video cut scenes and it took me 2
months to get where I am!!) so is there some way I can keep my Sphinx,
and Mario Kart saves but delete the others?

Also has anyone played the game Chaos Field? I picked this up
yesterday and it looks okay but kinda frustrating... is it worth
figuring out the controls and getting good at or should I bring it
back and get something more fun?

Thanks a million.
Kev

If you boot up your GC without a game in it, you should get a menu
that you can then go to view the contents of your memory card and you
can delete any individual entries that you want to.

Hope that helps,

Vin

I've been looking for a copy of Ikaruga since I picked up a cube 6
months ago. It is hard to find and the places I can find it the game
is so high priced it's hard for me to justify when there are still
other fun games I dont have that cost a tenth of the price. Thanx
for advise on Chaos field I will keep it.

Another person has posted how to pick and choose saves to delete, so I
will get the second part:

Chaos Field is a good game once you get the hang of it. If you stay with
it and end up liking it, Search out Ikaruga. It is ten times harder, but
twenty times funner (once you get used to the black/white part).

You should be able to delete files from the main menu. Just start your
Gamecube without any game in the slot and choose the Memory Card option.
Select one of the files, and it should give you the option to delete.
You can also move it to a second memory card.

I have this game, and I happen to like it a lot, but perhaps it's only
because there are so few shooters available for the Gamecube. Ikaruga is
another one that is worth seeking out -- it's a better game overall, but
I would say Chaos Field is next on the list when it comes to Gamecube
shooters.

You can also get an additional memory card and move some of the games you
are not sure you want to delete to the card in slot B.
