The real tipoff is that:

It takes FULL POWER to taxi

I thought you were trying to use the air scoop to dig a trench. Seems
like a reasonable use in case you don't have a backhoe.

Been there, done it. Lowering the wheels will help you get out of
that situation, unless you're like me and wedged up against a pier.
Yesterday, I managed to get trapped beside a pier in the Goose. I
cursed the plane because I couldn't reverse it, and then out of
frustration, set the power on full and tried to push my way through
the dock. Didn't work and I got a 'crash' result, end of flight.

I was doing a mission at the time where the program doesn't give you
the chance to slew away from a predicament.....and the worse part was,
I didn't have any Laurel and Hardy music. Damn...another hour of my
life wasted.

Done that before in a amphibian. Came off the water and sat there on the
ground trying to move.

The Spitfire was also noted as being quite the agricultural implement,
Vernon. John Deere had a license to manufacture the Spit at one
time....and if you believe that one, I have some swampland in
Florida...woo, woo,woo!!

I wish I had recorded a video clip I saw on America's Funniest Videos
the other day. A Cessna float plane is taxiing away from the pier
and its elevator was passing over the pier walkway. Just so happened
a guy standing on the pier got scooped up by the plane's elevator and
shoved him right into the water...funny!

Next time try the Pushback (Shift-P) key sequence. This will "push" your AC
backwards in most cases. I have used it with the Goose on a few occasions
and it worked.

Actually, this was a saved "in flight" flight I had resumed. The
landing gear was down and, assuming it was up, I "lowered" it Smile

Well it was now up
