Dogs are not stupid. They are psychopaths. Sheep are stupid. And pigs - a
bunch of interfering bastards.

For reference, see (listen to) Pink Floyd: Animals.

I'll forego the Pink Floyd. But pigs are not really stupid. Cows
are.

I'm kinda curious what a cat would do with that robit. I think cats
are probably a bit more gutsy.

And sheep. Sheep are harmless and stupid. According to the Floyd.

Pigs are - again according to the Floyd not stupid, but the prototype of
people who really should mind their own business.

Here's a quote from the song "Pigs (three different ones)" - where they
"portrait" Mary Whitehouse, a woman who was very concerned about the
(declining) morality in Britain:

Hey you Whitehouse, ha ha, charade you are
You house proud town mouse, ha ha, charade you are
You're trying to keep our feelings off the street
You're nearly a real treat
All tight lips and cold feet
And do you feel abused?
......!.....!.....!.....! (Heavy breathing)
You gotta stem the evil tide
And keep it all on the inside
Mary you're nearly a treat
Mary you're nearly a treat
But you're really a cry.

And pigs can fly. You can read the story here:
http://www.myvillage.com/wandsworth/community-batterseapowerstation.htm

In real life pigs are probably just pigs, a fairly intelligent species and
a good source of meat.

And now Erimess, what you've been waiting for: Another piece of useless
information from

Not my cat. She'd bolt and hide under the bed at the first sight of that
robot!

One of the funniest things I've seen on my way to work was some dog
tiptoeing apprehensively around a life-sized plastic dog in front of a pet
store.

Heh. I remember when we put a fairly huge toy tiger on the floor at home.
The first time the cat saw it, it became very apprehensive, walking aroudn
it, gradually approaching it. Finally close enough to sniff at it, then a
quick strike at it, right in it's face.

After that: Not interesting.

My favorite Pink Floyd song is "interstellar overdrive", due to its
absence of singing and normal song structure. Hm, thinking about it,
it is about the only Floyd song I like.

So Pink Floyd is a band. I had guessed it was a late night radio talk
show. My bad. ;P

Doesn't that song about the dark side of the moon have long bits without
vocals too?

(Does the tiger have a scar now?)

Cats are good for that. That's why I think they're more gutsy than
dogs. After inspecting something from a distance long enough, they'll
eventually sneak in and take a swat.

Probably one of the funnier things I've seen (other than a cat
attacking a vacuum cleaner) is when Sammy started having a fight with
a bookmark with a tassle on it. Cats will tend to swat at, or bite,
the tassle sticking out of a book, but it then usually just ends up on
the floor, properly beaten and dead. But Sammy once came along and
started taking a few swats at one. He'd start to move his paw like in
a fake-swat, and then finally do a real swat. And at one point caught
a piece of it on his paw and it flung out of the book and flew in the
air. And he jumped a mile. And it landed near him and he just
freaked again. He finally got the nerve to approach it again, cause
it hadn't made any aggressive moves for a few minutes, and he started
the fake-swat thing again, then finally gave it a good swat. And it
would either sort of "pop up" a bit, which would make Sammy jump
back... or it would get caught on his paw again and then he'd freak
cause it attacked him, and it would get thrown into the air again, and
try to land on him and attack him again.

This went on for quite some time, same thing over and over. It was
hysterical. Definitely youtube worthy. I kinda felt sorry for him,
cause this bookmark was truly scaring him, but it was just so funny
that I stood there and watched the whole thing with no interference.

I think that cats are intelligent enough to like being scared, kind of
like humans. If Sammy was truly scared, he probably would have run out of
the room. Maybe your presence changed his reactions though.

You need to buy one of those R/C miniature indoor helicopters.
And attach tassels to it.

It usually takes quite a bit to scare a cat away for good. Even when
they run out, then eventually sneak back in. I think they're just up
for a good fight, and they're too curious to stay away. Plus they
know they are in charge and will beat whatever it is eventually.
