Found a remedy for jetfighteriv jimmy, thanks for your info but i found
additional solutions, first don't install games on xp to c:/program
files/game,make a directory to c:/games/games so its sepperate from your
program files if you have to tweak it,then go into the config file and change
the line that reads simuserthread=1 to read simuserthread=0,then configure
your three files,jf4,jf4sim,and videosetup.Configure them only to disable
visual effects, windows 95 configuration. Then go to task manager and end tasks
on all backround programs, because otherwise you get a ddr_surfacelost
error. Also used your advice on dos games, dosbox, vdm sound etc,but thats where
you have to make sure you have your games in a seperate directory of their
own also so you can put dosbox and vdm to use.Still working on quake and halo
though,i tried everything you suggested in your thread. What did you mean by a
32 bit and 16 bit error and is there a solution.I tried recopying my system
32 off my resource cd to no avail. Is there a windows site , program or
fix?thanks!
