I think that's wrong though. The pet bar uses the "special action bar"
that has 10 slots instead of the normal 12 and is placed above (but does
not replace) the "lower left action bar" which in turn is above the
normal UI action bar. So just by enabling all the default UI action
bars you can have three on top of each other in the lower left, in
addition to the lower right and two right side action bars, for a total
of five exposed normal action bars and the special (pet, warrior
stances, etc) bar. There is a sixth bar that rotates with the bottom
bar but apparently no way to expose it separately. >> Stay informed about: Looking for addon that provides additional action bars - |

Exactly.
If you find a way to expose it separately, please post how!

No, it doesn't. Even with all action bars enabled, the pet bar is
still there.

That's what the action bar mods do. All the ones that I have tried
allow up to 10 visible bars of 12 buttons each. I think that some
allow you to place all 120 buttons as you like (It was possible before
the patch that introduced secure action buttons but I'm not 100% sure
if it is still the case).

I love Trinity too. I just moved up from Trinity 1 to Trinity 2, and it's
a nice improvement. The default layout is now basically a duplicate of
the Blizzard layout (minus dragons), so it's really easy to switch over to
using Trinity if you have no current icon bar addon.

Mainbar at the bottom, one above it, one to the right of that, two on the
righthand side.

Main bar
Lower left
Lower right
Right edge
Right edge 2
Do you mainly play a hunter or warlock? The lower-left extra bar tends
to overlap with the pet bar, so pet-using classes often choose not to use
that one.

Ah, so the upper bar at the bottom is really two short ones. I
remember now. How many people actually have only one of those switched
on?
Why isn't the very bottom bar considered as two? >> Stay informed about: Looking for addon that provides additional action bars - |

Because you can't change the stuff on the lower right hand bar.
It contains things like pull up your profile, quest log, spell book, LFG, etc.
All 6 bars that you can customize have 12 ability slots that you can place
anything into. And of those 6, you can have 5 showing. I use the "hidden"
bar for my professions. And the claim of 5 showing isn't *quite* correct.
Stance classes (rogue, druid, warrior) have their lower left bar switch
depending upon what stance/stealth/form they're in. >> Stay informed about: Looking for addon that provides additional action bars - |

Not in my experience. The pet bar nicely sits above the upper left ability
bar and I've never seen them overlap. Mind, I have a 57th hunter, a 70th
level warlock, and at the moment another 26th level hunter and 26th level
warlock. So I think I've seen the pet bar being active quite a bit..... >> Stay informed about: Looking for addon that provides additional action bars - |

Flexbar 2, going to be an Ace mod it seems. I think it's still
an in early beta stage, but seeing progress at least.
Personally I prefer Trinity 2 myself. But the UI fanatic in me
drools for an updated Flexbar.
Oh, and for the original topic, both of these two addons should be able
to give you unlimited amount of buttons and lot's of ways to configure
them.

Mostly warrior or mage.
The warlock I have, the imp/elemental bar (and for the mage's
elemental ) appear above the lower left hand bar. She's only a level
16 though. If that makes a difference. >> Stay informed about: Looking for addon that provides additional action bars - |

Flex has been in beta since before TBC came out, I think.
It was absolutely wonderfull. My Shaman had 4 buttons that expanded on
mouseover vertically, containing the totems. When you clicked one to
cast it, it became the one shown on the button (Since you'd most
likely want to use it again). I don't think you'll be able to get that
sort of functionality now, due to the tightened security on ui changes
in combat. >> Stay informed about: Looking for addon that provides additional action bars - |
