A player is having a strange problem: host seems to ignore ALL his
orders. The consequence
is that turn runs as if him just clicked "make TRN" without giving any
order.

He makes his turn at the same computer as other player of the game. But
they have intalled
two Planets, and each one has his register code in his Planets program.

Both appear as registered at Drewhead.

This has happened this turn, and the turn before.

Can someone give a explanation?
Has it happened to somebody?

Greetings

The only time I have seen this happen, is when 2 or more players are
using the same reg key. Look at the in game player race profile and
see if anyone is using the same reg key.

There are two installations on the same computer. The first one is
three years old (I've founded out that today) and the second one is
recent.

We have known that old installations causes problems with new .rst
archives. So, maybe be, this is the reason why it didn't worked.

Thanks.

Greetings.

I had the same problem about three months ago. There was no old
installation on my computer, so that could not have been the cause of
the problem in my case. I deinstalled planets and installed it again
and the next turn worked fine. However, I don't know whether strategy
always works or whether I was just lucky.

So, the problem is not the date of the installation but the
installation itself: corrupted installation? It sounds as a real
possibility.

Greetings.

I had same issue (with a single installation of the game) if I had
previously played another game in the same game slot. Try going into
your Planets directory and deleting the appropriate slot folder in the
\war directory. Maybe you have to do the \univ directory too, I don't
know. The game will rebuild the folders the next time you run
planets4.exe. Or, just start using a previously unused slot.

That is known behaviour. If you play two player slots in the same game
from the same computer, you have to use the same Planets installation.
Meaning, both players play in the same war slot (and thus with the same
reg number).
Otherwise host will suspect foul play and ignore one set of orders.
