In BF2, you honk with the left mouse button. I got a TK when I was in a
tank and tried to honk at the guy standing in the middle of the bridge
right in front of me.

Well I guess the cannon on the tank can also function as a horn. It is
pretty loud and the person in front will usually get out of the way!
There is also an annoying horn on the EU and PAC air transports in
2142. >> Stay informed about: honking the horn |

Isn't it annoying when almost every driver has to keep honking with no
reason while driving? It's like announcing "HERE WE COME GET READY TO
KILL US" to the enemy. >> Stay informed about: honking the horn |

Sorry but it's a game, it's fun to keep honking the horn. >> Stay informed about: honking the horn |

There isn't a horn in the vehicles in the 1.4 version of BF 1942,
except possilbly in just 1 or two levels (if at all). The bikes in
Road to Rome and/or Secret weapons do, however. >> Stay informed about: honking the horn |

Did they disable them in the jeeps? The jeeps definitely had horns in
earlier versions.

It's annoying when you're sitting there in an otherwise empty vehicle,
lots of unsquaded players are there, and no one will be your gunner.
Horn can help to attract attention for that. Same with the gunships
and transports in 2142.

When I'm honking the horn at a spawn point it means jump on (or get
out of the way). When I'm honking as I am driving down the road, it
means, get out of the way.
You'd prefer I TK you?
I don't honk for no reason, I know some do.

Apparently there are players who don't have audio at all.
No other explanation why some folks just don't seem to notice when I'm
driving behind them, honking and shouting "get in!". Only if I pass them
and drive away they start screaming "give me a ride!"... >> Stay informed about: honking the horn |

Using the horn to get your own teammates' attention is fine. It's when
you're honking the horn for no good reason as you're approaching the
enemy that is, shall we say, not bright. Lots of players do it for fun.
