Next: How do I restore backed up game files?

Post subject: ok ---------i need some help here --restore--- backup------- restore -finding my sims i made in the games

i have sim2 , university , nightlife .
all are on the computer now.
i did backup sim2 long ago , virgin clean backup - then before i bother to
put any more expansion on the computer , i switched my sims2 back up ,
meaning i took out the sim2 i had used - and put back in the ea folder the
virgin sims2 back up in it .
i did backup the -document ea folder sim2 , and i did back up in
program sim2 which the nightlife booklet said to do whick seem to not have
changed at all what the point there?
{which only had maybe 4 sims i dowloaded into and played only 2 in the sim2
in veronville}
all this and that about backup and restore is like not very well explained
in them booklet i tryed mod2 too see more but i thought you folks can
help me here and maybe other by posting info for later look up? im behind
the time s i know it eeks.

You need to back up your neighbourhoods because the new exapnsion changes
the format of the files, and if you have problems and want to uninstall it,
the new files won't work without the expansion, but the back up one you
kept, will.
Backing up dowmloads is always a good idea anyway.

Everything you downloaded should be in My Documents/EAGames/Sims2. Sims
could be in Downloads, or in SavedSims.

A sim made in CAS doesn't get saved in the same way, he or she will be in
the family bin of the neigbourhood in which they got created.

You need to back up your neighbourhoods because the new exapnsion changes

Everything you downloaded should be in My Documents/EAGames/Sims2. Sims
could be in Downloads, or in SavedSims.

You need to back up your neighbourhoods because the new exapnsion changes
the format of the files, and if you have problems and want to uninstall it,
the new files won't work without the expansion, but the back up one you
kept, will.
Backing up dowmloads is always a good idea anyway.
