Need some help

Mebbe I didn't explain myself well enough. The help I need is more of a
technical nature. I don't have issues with the AI in the game. The problem
is when crossing over a zone on a map the game shuts down and exits to the
desktop. It then restarts as if I was loading the game for the first time.
My progress is saved from the last time I saved my game. I thought the AI
patch might have covered this problem and fixed it but after applying the
patch, the version number doesn't change and I am still having the same
problem. My system is as follows:

2Ghz Celeron
128MB NVidia G Force FX 5500 with pixel shader 2.0
256MB RAM
XP home edition with service pack 2

I thought that the RAM might be low and causing the problem, but I am not
sure at this point and don't want to have to buy something I don't need if I
don't have to. The reason I thought it might be the RAM is because movement
is a bit choppy and slow to respond and hence, not having enough memory to
properly load between map zones.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Try uninstalling and then defragging your hardrive. Then reinstall and if
you are still having probs you must have got a bad copy of the game.
