out of nowhere.....there are floating health bars over everything i run
by.
whether it's a gnoll, a bore, a rabbit or rat, there is a yellow bar
above them that displays their health bar, name and level.
this appeared out of nowhere (i think).
i have not changed any of my settings and even set everything to
default on my UI interface.
i NEED to get rid of it because it's getting really confusing when
taking on multiple enemies.

Heh heh, my six year old like to press the "v" key when I am playing so
he can see the "V-life".
When he goes to bed I press it again and it turns it off.

Heh, I haven't learned all the keystroke functions yet (and probably
never will).
The other night after a rather hectic fight after which I ended up in
the graveyard, I noticed that my poor orc was walking instead of
running back to her body. I musta hit some 'bad' key during the
fracas. Sheesh, walking was gonna take forever. Messed with a few
keys, glanced at the documenation but couldn't find anything. Finally
chirped for help in Channel 1.
I got a couple of responses "Hit the \ key!" which I did to no avail.
"How many times do I hit it!" I chirped back irritably.
Turns out its the / key next to the num-lock, not the one next to shift
key.
Oops.
*embarrassed*
Not my first keyboarding error.
And certainly not my last... >> Stay informed about: help this confused warrior... |

You must have pressed the V key. (Or maybe it's shift-V, or ctrl-V.)
Try pressing these keys until the problem goes away.

Press V Sounds like you accidentally toggled the health bars on -
they're generally pretty helpful in groups but yeah it gets annoying
having them getting in the way! >> Stay informed about: help this confused warrior... |

Hehe. That key was my life safer in Blackrock Mountain. In the beginning,
walking across those chains was just too much for me. I can't count how
often I fell off them into the lava. Until some kind soul told me to press
"/". Walking instead of running across them was so much easier.
Of course, today I know about positioning myself with the right mouse button
so I can easily go across at full speed while laughing about my earlier
antics
Cheers

Just jump down, saves ages and hardly hurts at all - there is a ledge on the
column half way down, then slide down the rock onto the ramp out of tha
lava.
