I'm playin JA, and @ a certain point I'm supossed too defeat a mutated

You cannot directly kill the Mutated Rancor, so do not try. Instead, let
him make easier work of all the saber-weilders that attack you on that
mission.

You will need to get to the end of the area, at which point you come upon a
multi-part solution to ... kill the beast.

Finally got Jedi Knight Academy working w/9800 Pro - The Catalyst OpenGL drivers were the problem all along. I reverted to the Catalyst 3.8 OpenGL .dll (ATIo9xxx.dll) and now everything (incl. What if I choose light-side at Rosh, but kill all the good.. - The first time through, I chose the light side when facing Rosh.
