Anybody know how this editor (CivEdit v1.32.1) is supposed to work with
Civ3 (for Mac)? It seems to run but when I attempt to do anything with
it I get something like the following example:

Assertion failed, file: PropPageRaces.cpp, line: 1951

I'm assuming I'm either using it wrong or installed it wrong.

Is there a problem with CivEdit? I'd love to be able to create my OWN
maps or edit ones that already exist if possible..

I unstuffed the CivEdit and placed it in the main Civ3 folder, so if I'm
doing anything wrong there...

Also, while I'm at it and can't seem to run CivEdit yet without it
crashing.. Does CivEdit allow you to "force" (or set default) starting
locations for civilizations?

Thanks.

I only get a failure when I overdo the settings, such as making workers and
settlers too strong and barbarians with no sttack or defense strength.

Yes, you can set start locations, including making it impossible for them to
have more than one city each.

I can't even fiddle with the settings or menu.. nothing.. without
getting a message like that and it crashes. It runs... until you
actually "try" and do something with it. That's why I think I've
installed it wrong.. maybe it can't find the files it needs?
