hahaha

well, level 58 protection warrior, 30 fire resistance, 3700 life
unbuffed, 310 defense, 6200 armour, ready for action? yeah, right.

So here we go, I choosed to take it easy in most cases, unsure about
the aggro range of a level 58 in that place, but it turned out I was a
lot too careful. Besides the first surger/corehounds patrols, and
besides that imp cave, there is no way a 58 can ninja-pull something -
at least not any more than someone else.

Role in raid:
off-off-off-offtank.
I would tank imps, lava spawns, and stay besides the casters to taunt
surgers/annihilators when they get loose out of range of melee. DPS on
boss.

Damage taken:
I died once. to a loose Molten Destroyer, after the MT got punted. I
picked him out, blocked a couple hits, got stunned and was squished
with a crushing blow.

Damage dealt:
Laughable.
I got nice execute crits, but "out of rage", "not enough rage", etc.

Notes:
Avoiding the fear at Magmadar was trivial.
I got mind controlled 6 times during the Lucifron fight. The adds are
really dumb to mind control me, as I was by far the weakest in raid.

last but not least: I was lucky enough to receive the bracers and boots
of Might, too bad I can't even equip them yet Very Happy

You got both on your fist run, did everyone else who could use em
already have them or what?

In the raids I went on in MC if you got one Epic you were unlikely to
get another one on the same raid unless there was no one else at all
who could use it. That's how I got my Crimson Shocker wand, I wasn't
top of the caster list but the person who was had already just received
an Epic on the group list. (SK loot system)

Nice story and well done.

This was back when we were first starting out in MC and we were only up
to Garr and dieing there, 40 people and only 2 bosses, so one piece was
plenty at the time. I did it about 3 or 4 times and only ever got
Felheart Gloves and a wand.

Our guild is pretty well geared. This is our second time at that
status. First time, lots got fully geared and then left the guild -
BASTARDS! I'm not bitter or anything. Smile Now, after a few months,
we are back to the well geared status and eager to put MC back on farm
status. Anyway, as an example all our regular locks (6 of us) are
between 5/8 or 8/8 (I'm 7/Cool so if you are a new lock, you are
guaranteed access to 5 lock items. We use DKP so if those 5 items drop
in one night then it is possible, as a new lock, that you will walk out
of MC 5/8. Course you will have -billion DKP. LOL, but still... I
believe all our classes are in the same situation 'cept Rogue and
Priest. In fact, last week, a new warrior got 3 pieces of might and
the OEB.

Babe, congratulations! Smile

One piece is nothing ...

Last week we took some new players with us (all 60, but nonetheless)...
Let's see: 1 Shaman got 4 pieces of T1, 1 druid 3 pieces of T1 and
another player 2-3 items also ...

Then again we're atm trying to put BWL on farm status and head into
AQ40. So mostly we go to MC for some missing items ans easy loot. But so
was probably his raid, because otherwise you don't take someone with
level 58 with you normally ...

Not exactly, we're an "old casual raiding guild", doing ZG/AQ20 mostly
(we took down Ayamiss for the first time last tuesday). I decided to
stop playing my priest recently, and to apply again to my guild as
warrior, with a 60 priest and a 60 hunter alts. The peeps in there were
magnanimous, telling me the rules:
1) I can switch main character only once. No more rerolling at BC if I
want to stay with them.
2) I can keep all my hard-earned dkp (which is really nice considering
I had lots of spare) Very Happy

There were 6 warriors in raid, a protection, two fury and two arms
(including an non-guilded, non-looting friend who was just here to
help), and mine as protection.

Loot was discussed briefly amongst us, and the two furies were
convinced quite easily: they are bloodthirsty damage-whores, with
already good tanking gear. And being the only protection warrior in
raid in need of them - with the most dkp - these went to me, even
though I wasn't even level 60 yet.

And for the record, for Garr/Geddon/Shazzrah, I switched back to my
priest, as my warrior clearly couldn't cut it anymore. Then the raid
stopped, 3 hours in at 11pm as usual, for people to go to sleep
(work/school tomorrow, etc).

The guild still hasn't set more than a foot in BWL, because the time to
do it was also a time of exams (followed by summer, etc). For the first
time in months, we had more than 30 people in raid yesterday night Very Happy

Congratulations Babe!

So how does it feel to start out again as a warrior? So many people I
know have gone through on MC in other classes, and then get there with
thier warrior reroll and go "WOW! WOOOOT! Why the hell didn't I roll
warrior in the first place?"

Sometimes I tell myself it'd be nice to know what that's like too, but
I'm to lazy to learn another class. Besides, my flirty-sulky Xaexa juste
got her Chromaggus claw and is so pleased I haven't the heart to closet her.

(for info: boyfriends re-started playing a month ago, and went on
pickup MC and 1 MC with my guild (our last full MC, we wont be doing any
anymore.... jsut Garr runs as we hope that one day soon that damned left
hand will drop for us, 50+ runs after the right hand) and came out of
those 2 evenings with 4 epics. Including the T1 chestpiece.)

there's one thing I have to brag. I have tanked a Garr's add with my
pally.
