I am sick of large do-nothing guilds. I was in one of the bigest guilds
on my server for almost four months and in that time every level 60 did
nothing but farm and level alts....

Is this the fate of all big guilds? To just become nothing more then a
100+ member group of farmers and do-nothing chatters that sit in the
channel and talk about television shows all day?

I want a guild that will go on quests and have a good time making
friends and helping others and go on raids. I don't think that's to
much to ask...

Tinymagic, 32 Warlock, Agewynn.

I went through a similar problem, I am in a decent guild now. Not a lot
of playing, just a lot of individual leveling, but there are a few
players who help others out by enchanting or making bags or whatnot.
The only reason I am still around, is there is one girl who is ok, and
she and I have helped each other out from time to time. Also there
doesn't seem to be anybody who pisses me off. I would say they are not
bothersome, but not very helpful or fun either. You can always quit. I
quit my first guild, then my second guild, this one at the very least
doesn't seem to be full of "tweens". Good luck!

Very common problem, from what I have experienced.

That's what I wanted too. It took me months to find a good guild. Got in
when it was just starting, and I was the first L60. Some good folks,
especially the leaders.

Too bad you are on another server.

It took me 6 tries to find a good guild.

In my current guild the level 60 'alt' of a level 40 'main' farms for
the whole guild.

If you want a good guild, you have to create it yourself. Or find
someone who will do it for you.

I have never been in a big guild, but I shy out when I do not know the
guildies that are online when I am.

Not sure what server you are on. All guilds are different. I'm on Elune
and an officer in Shadow Dragon Knights.

Our guild has 300 accounts, 475 Characters. That means 175 toons are alts.

We have a dedicated website, a guild bank and an alliance with another guild
to help with raids of MC/Ony, etc.

We are not a hard-core raiding guild, meaning, we don't ask the players to
respec, or limit class, etc. We do schedule raids for ZG, AQ, MC.

We are not a hard-core PVP guild, either. We're just there to have fun.

I honestly have no idea. I didn't start it, but I can ask the GM. Very Happy

I think every possible combination of words like "Shadow", "Dragon" and
"Knights" has been used for a guild in every game ever.

Cheers!
David...

LOL, originality seems to lost in some of the bigger guilds.

I was invited to "Midnight Hotties" yesterday. Would have been particularly
apropos if it was all-warlock. (The invitation was to my Nelf hunter.)

What other unusual guild names have you heard of?

My server has a guild called "Tel'Abim Banana Knights", and also
"Minions of the Happy Cat".

I'll try and find out. I know the GM plays 1st person shooters like ghost
recon or something, he's never played EQ though.
