Myst on Linux - Anyone ever managed to get Myst i.e. the very first one, to run on Linux. First started playing the game years ago on a clapped out box running Win 98 which kept on crashing. I then installed Linux and have not been able to get Myst running using Wine.

Myst sound full of static - May be an old question, but I need help. I had Myst Edition running on my computer just fine (Windows XP). Somewhere along the line, something became corrupt. I then Myst. Even though all sounds and voices are still..

When I am trying to knock out the camoudile, at least 3 out of ten attempts
my cursor (hand) ends up in the middle of the screen and every so slowly
disappears. The game completely locks up and I have to press ctrl-alt-del &
end Myst IV -> and then I restart. Have any of you found this to be the case
? It occurs whether or not I use the game configurator.

P4 2.8 GHz
1.5 G ram
Radeon 9600
Tons of disk space

Any ideas?
