Hey guys, just wondering. What games have you been playing? Myself I'm
hooked onto these...
Counter-Strike:Source- Just fun, plain and simple. Quick to pick up,
if you're novice or pro, this game is FUN!
World of Warcraft- Well, what can I say...there's a reason this game
has 9 million players. Addictive, lots of things to do, the fun never
stops.
Garry's Mod- A fun Half Life 2 mod, more of a sandbox than a game. If
you like to build stuff, set things on fire, or simple BLOW STUFF
UP...you will like this game. >> Stay informed about: What games have you been playing...in February 2008? |

Counterstrike: Source- still play this more than any other game.
NCAA Football '08-got the real rosters off E-bay, so I'm back on that.
Assassin's Creed-Controls take some getting used to, but it's got a lot of
potential...and it's freakin' gorgeous.
Half-Life 2: SMOD-Kind of an odd little mod for HL2 that basically uses
actual CS:S maps and some orignial ones strung together into a single player
campaign. It's just weird seeing the HL2 Combine soldiers, facehuggers,
zombies, etc. running around on Dust_2.

Only at the end of 1st Feb Week !!??
Mostly I'm with games I play a level or bit of every now & then until there
done & deleted.
@@@ Mighty Dark Mister o Mighty Magic (or whatever) (mine Got und Himmil
how I dislike the Half Life 2 engine ! ...& all those Bossy girls...why
don't there ample Bosoms ever wobble ??)
@@@ CRYSIS ...you slog along through a lengthy level to realized that most
of the objectives
& long route is unnecessary & can go quickly round a back or direct route.
The AI doesn't always like it tho & will shoot away from your Hero to where
he (??) is
supposed to be.
GOTHIC 3 ...'cause the new 1.6 patch set me off on it again..
don't think I will ever finish it ...each town & its quests seems
increasingly the same.
I seem to have forgotten what the main game object is anyway.
@@@ SPLINTER CELL 4 : DOUBLE AGENT...I fought like Hell to get this hated
game
to work at all ...then it would not load level 3 ...gave up.
Just found that a full re-install makes it work (as well as it can )...soooo
of to level 3
I go ...in prison again ?

Hey, it's a fascinating topic. I don't know how he came up with it,
but I hope he continues it on a monthly basis.
Personally, I'd have asked the question at the end of the month,
myself, but what do I know? >> Stay informed about: What games have you been playing...in February 2008? |

I finally got Dark Messiah (DM). Actually, I played the demo with my
Radeon 9200M two years ago, but the game was unplayable with that rig.
The game is based on my favourite HL2, and this makes me pleased. I
have played through the first level. There are too many attack moves,
which I cannot remember all during the heat of the combat. While I am
fending the enemy off with the sword, I forget to look aside and thus
possibly use the environment to my advantage (e.g. collapse the high-
shelved crates on them or push the opponent into fire). The "kick"
function is good, but it is bound to an uncomfortable button "F"; it
is hard to hit it with my pinky in the heat of the battle (and I
cannot come up with the better button for it). Apart from that, the
game looks picturesque. I have also installed "Oblivion" on my
computer, and I am yet to see which game I would like to keep on
computer, and which one I will uninstall. The advantage of DM is that
I can spend the earned points to upgrade anything I want (be it my
combat or magic or "misc" skills), as compared to Oblivion where I
find numerous objects, but they might be uselss to my purpose. In
Oblivion, I really liked the graphics of the gothic dungeons and
caves, and the immersing atmosphere it creates; I am yet to see how DM
lives up. >> Stay informed about: What games have you been playing...in February 2008? |

I have kick bound to a side mouse button - more convenient than a

The Bard's Tale (1985). It's an all right distraction that moves
fairly quickly once your party survives to level 9 and higher, but
it's not as fun to use existing maps. One of the more rewarding
aspects of these games was mapping out the dungeons with their
spinners and dark patches. I felt like using maps I had made a decade
ago and it takes a lot of the challenge and fun out of the game. I'll
probably stretch this campaign out over the next year and eventually
complete it using a group composed of three monks, one bard, and two
spell-casters. Hopefully I can swap one of the monks for another
spellcaster later on. We'll see.
I played Heroes of Might & Magic IV for some time. I enjoyed the
writing but found the game mechanics not nearly as compelling as those
in Heroes III. After completing the life and death campaigns, I saw
the appeal of Heroes 4, but I just didn't care enough to grind through
the rest of the game.
Grim Fandango is still as witty and fun as it was all those years ago.
