Hello here.
I don't know if I'm at the right place here, but anyway my question is: who
can say something useful about playing old dos-games after having installed
service-pack II for XP? None of them work anymore... sad thing.
Greetings and thanks in advance Smile

What kind of old dos-games? Because my instict says that you refer to
adventure games your
question should be better posted in the comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.adventure
newsgroup.
Clarify what games you speak of.

Cheers,
Iakovos:)

This same question was posted on alt.games.abandonware. You should
check that ng out. A person there posted this link (don't know how
useful it is):

Hi, Iakovos.
Hope I'm doing things right here, I'm not very good in replying in
newsgroups... Sad
The games I'm talking about are indeed adventures, but games like aquanoid
or a game like blues brothers as well. I like a lot of games, but mostly
adventures. Got a load of them old games from a friend, really sad I can't
play them.
Thanks for your tip, I'll have a look there too. And by the way, thank you
Phoenix AG as well. Saw that link, but didn't get me any further... Sad sigh.
Thanks anyway and greetings from me again.

Hello Rebecca,

Everyone was a beginner at some point in time... we are in desperate need of
newbies, oldies, trolls, lurkers etc. If you need any advice or counsel
about newsgroups you can e-mail me your questions and I'll be glad to answer
them.

I see.

You are not the only one Smile

I am sure you'll find lots of answers in the adventure newsgroup. I am also
interested in the same subject. If someone gives you some good answers
please feel free to post them here or to e-mail me.

Is Rebecca your real name? May I ask where are you from?

Iakovos:)
