Hello
Well for 10 years ago or so I played a game, but I can't remember the name,
nothing about the name, and I would really like to replay it, just to
remember the good aold days lol.
Well what I can remember is that you play a man, who needs to escape a
factory of some kind. You find items that with which you can build a robot,
which will follow and help you.
On your journey you take parts from the robot to help you solve some other
problems. I can remember that you needed to help and old woman with her cat.
Hm and there are elevators, you pretend to be someone else, steels cards
from other people.
But it's not a shoting game, it's an adventure/strategy game I think.
I don't really know if it's Sierra who has made it.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Dorte,
I am really sure, the game you are looking for is called "Beneath a
Steel Sky" by Revolution Software (who also did the Broken Sword series).
You are ready for the good news: Revolution decided to give the game
away for free. You can download the game from the ScummVM website, a
program you will need to be able to play it.
Have tons of fun with it, I know I had.

Ok I searched for the name and saw some screenshots, it is the right game
thanks. Hm the zip file I downloaded at their site, only contained 3 files,
and no exe, so I don't really know what to do, do you have a link or can you
help me in any way?
Thanks

Ok thanks I have the SKY.CPT, so after I get that 68 MB downloaded and
installed (hopefully all my itself) I just place the SKY.CPT in there? I
have downloaded the scummvm 0.8.2 now, so I better install it, and wait for
the game to get downloaded. So this scummwm what exactly does it do, and
does it do it by itself?

install scummvm, then unzip bass-cd-1.2.zip somewhere, in c:\program
files\scummvm if you wish, then put sky.cpt in same folder, then run
scummvm and clic on "add game" button, find folder you put game files in to
and clic "choose" button.
then play with "options" and "start" buttons. >> Stay informed about: Does anyone know what this game is called? |

Ok the scummwm well I couldn't find an exe file or something when I
extracted it. So don't know how to run it. And the bass-cd-1.2.zip already
contains a sky.cpt, but this should be overwritten?
Sorry I usually can figure a few things out on my own, but I got a bit
confused.

Well I just installed the scummwm and there was an exe file, don't know what
was wrong with the other, but this is a good sign. So all I have to do is
wait for the download to finish, uuh can't wait. I could never have found
the game title, so glad I found this newsgroup.
