I got Galciv2 last night - CD purchased from Stardock. Still watching
the tutorials. Am a bit bewildered by it all. Saw this funny thing in
the tutorial about managing ship designs:

The voiceover says "You can delete any ship simply by selecting it and
clicking the Delete button." So the person clicks on the ship design
called...

"DeleteMe 2000"

!

(well, I laughed.)

PS. Brad, for your next game, the tutorials don't have to be
"Made-For-TV(tm)" advertising! Remove the adjectives. Don't waste
breath telling me that "deleting ships is easy: simply click the
button". I've already bought the game -- I don't need to be sold on
how easy the user interface is. (but you should still tell me when a
button both slices and dices, because that's useful concrete
information).

Also, I liked the "desktop theme" download. I had bought ObjectDesktop
once, a while ago, but stopped using. So this GalCiv2 theme was a nice
bit of eye-candy to get me in the mode for playing while I'm at work.
Although I don't know why applying the theme should have changed my
font-size...

Lines that stuck with me are

"Now you know what to do on your first turn."

and

"We will assume you found the tutorial button..." or something like that
