Hey all,

If the future is going to be all about information technology and it is to
be our new society medium, then World of Warcraft has proven already to be a
drug worth banning. To be competitive in the game you must be a complete
nobody, most WoW winners are real life freaks of nature who have chosen WoW
as their drug of choice. Have you ever wanted to compete with Heroin addicts
or Alcoholics?

Stop wasting countless hours playing and do something you won't regret. 1000
hours or more of WoW won't give you memories, it won't teach you anything,
it will bring you down.

Call me a noob or whatever you like, but you are speaking to a man who has
spent his own fair share of time on this game. The Burning Crusade means
nothing. Been there done that, I'm over being lvl 70 (for that matter lvl 80
or 255 if that ever happens).

It was a bit too late for me when I stopped, my wife and child had already
left me and I was too involved in WoW to care.

If you disagree and think WoW is worth it, then go for it and see how you
manage in years to come.

All games are meant to end. WoW is a drug.

Kris

Do you also haunt TV or movie newsgroups with your trolling, whining how
they waste precious hours on their chosen form of entertainment?

> All games are meant to end.

Yeah, I know, I was like in this chess tournament, and after playing the
first game they said I had to play another against someone else. What
gives? I had already played chess and that game was over.

She would leave you anyway, if not on WoW, then on Civ, Dungeon Keeper,
Alcohol or Drugs... It's the trick to deal with it.

I can drink without being an alcoholic
I can play wow without being a freak of nature

In the end is character, discplin, whatever,

In the end it is you being a failure

Harsh but true. A compulsive/addictive personality will wreck a life
with anything close to hand - then bleat away about "how addicting it
was" and how they just couldn't help themselves. Then they get
surprised when people get pissed off with them!

I speak from years of experience with people like this. Ultimately
they just have to grow up, look at themselves and grow a pair.
Therapists tell them this all the time, but in a fluffy, cuddly way...
because they done't LIVE with them day after day.

Wow, THIS old chestnut doing the rounds again? If you're gonna troll,
for god's sake make it original and interesting. I must have seen
this one about 10 years back - all you do is cut and paste the latest
popular form of entertainment/hobby into it, and spam it. Pitiful

Lol, I know what you mean Smile My experience was with an assorted
bunch of screwed-up relatives over the last 50 years. Drunks,
compulsive gamblers, serial adulterers, habitual drug-takers... It
was always never their fault, of course.

False! WoW is a game, not a competition.

WoW can't be "beaten" so there can be no winners.

So what are you doing at Uni anyway? And why didn't you go to Monash.
It's better after all. ;pp

Hey,

Studying Accounting at Deakin, cause Deakin has better off campus system.

WoW can't be beaten you are right, and so there can't be any winners - I
agree. That only makes the point stronger that WoW is a drug. Competitive
WoW players are about as responsible as drug addicts.

You bet. Like I said I have had my own fair share of this game.

Are you scared of me offending your precious game?

Whatever a competitive player is according to your definition. I want to
reach 70. Is that competitive enough? I am most definitely not spending 6
hours a day in WoW. I guess I'm not competitive then.

A load of tauren excrement. There is no way of "winning" WoW. Or maybe there
is. If after playing I feel satisfied because I had fun, then maybe I have
won. I can do that in way below your 6-10-20 hour time frame.

Of course, you may still believe me a freak of nature Smile
