Barbeques on fire off the shoulder of the interstate
I've watched the gift shops glitter in the dark by Rodeo Drive
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time to pee.

Welcome to the real world. I fly a high performance, complex,
retract, single (Beech Debonair/F33) and am instrument rated. Since
1992 I've not been West of the Rockies, Never reached the Atlantic
coast (except South Carolina), or the Gulf of Mexico (Except Florida)
OTOH, I put 1300 hours on in that area and fully a third of my flying
was more than a couple hundred miles from home.

Hi Roger
That all sounds familiar.
IRL many years ago now, I flew mostly C172, C150 and Cherokee 180 for a
total of only 600 hrs or so as PIC.
None of them terribly complex aircraft - but certainly a hell of a lot of
fun. ))
My only regret through all that, was that in never got as far as a night VMC
rating - with the result that I have *never* been flying at night - not even
on the many commercial flights that I've been on over the years. (My flying
instructor packed his bongo's and moved onto greener pastures).
Its a point of extreme frustration for me, and is very high on my "to do"
list before I start pushin up daisies.
Most of those hours were spent in my home state of Queensland Au, a few
times I ventured into the light aircraft airport at Archerfield (South
Brisbane),
once into Coolangatta (south of Brisbane & right on the Queensland/New South
Wales border - on the coast). As part of my final nav exercises I flew
Toowoomba to Tamworth - a total round trip of about 6hrs.
Other than that - everything else was within a 300Nm radius of my home town.
I seem to have carried on this same "tradition" even in the flight sim
world.
FS is a great fill-in for those days or yore.
I'll try to respond personally to everyone in this thread - thanks to
everyone for their suggestions - I will be trying every single one them.

Firstly, might I suggest, since you fly in FS9, that you get a Galaxy
Membership at FS Genesis
Secondly, check out VOZ, and also Orbyx (although its for FSX)......

That sounds pretty good. I've come across quite a few of recipes in my cook
books where Cointreau is added. Never gave it any serious thought, as I am
more of a beerdrinker. I'll have to pick up a bottle.

Vodka, Cointreau, a splash of OJ and some rocks. How's that?

Frank Zappa once said, in denying rumours that he had eaten S**t on stage,
the closest he ever came to eating s**t was a meal he once had at the
Edgewater Inn, Seattle, WA.
