Hi Again, Quilly,

Ok, I didn't lie intentionally...and I've tried flying in and around Chicago
now. My really high frame rates were also mostly at high altitude and
without any weather. Flying just above the trees/building, I'm getting
around the mid to upper 20's in rural areas, but in Chicago they dropped to
around 10. When I turned on the weather (real time - lots of clouds today),
they fell to around 4 to 6...barely flyable. Same at my home base (KJOT).
Turn weather back off and once away from the downtown area, they would get
back up to the mid teens, which wasn't too bad. Give me some nice mountains
and good scenery any time.

The system is good, but not Oskar's level, not that anything would be Wink. I
know I need to do a lot more tweaking, but I really don't want to loose the
eye-candy. Ah well...

Thanks for your interest.

ASB (Arthur)

Hi

Simming since late 1970's (Gould systems and others), then PDPs, then
more advanced Gould Systems in the 1980s and early 90s. Discovered PC
simming late 80s - also some real world experience but nothing like the
experts I enjoy reading here!

Cheers

Cool! Welcome remlin!
I wonder if any lurkers that come out of the woodwork as a result of
Snakies post, would maybe mention just how long they have been lurking
for? Might be interesting.

Hi Crash, and everyone else. I've been flight simming since Flight
Simulator II by SubLogic came out in the early to mid-80's, (can't
remember exactly when it came out), and have been lurking here, and at
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.flight-sim pretty much since they were created.

I've only posted a handful of times, mostly because I have nothing much
to say, and when I do it takes me forever to get my thoughts down (lousy
typist), and long before I do, somebody else has already posted the same
thing. Usually a lot more succinctly too.

Great idea bringing us lurkers out of the woodwork SnakeEyes!

Lurk mode back on,
Don

Hi Gremlin. Welcome.

Well, I'm glad you decided to try again then. Is that un-named person
still here? I hope it wasn't one of the 'good guys'.
(Hope to be one of those one day! Wink
