Ohh, that was no expert... But after trying, again, to explain that Yahoo is
NOT the server and being told that 'no, no.. we don;t use broadband
telephone. We have broadband satellite...'
And learning, again, that 'xxxx says everybody goes on the web to send
emails now.'
I swear to high heaven the next time I get a phone call asking me to come
round and 'look at this box on my screen that's stopping the computer from
working,' I will.... Run away with the postman.
gawd, what a morning.

Read this week, though I expect it has been about for sometime. Car crashed
over a bridge somewhere in US (on a busy highway) and police had to go and
scrape up the remains and found a lap top plugged into the ciggy lighter
with a half completed email still on the screen.
..
Ahhh. Progress...
..

Computers don't die slowly, they either work or don't work. Yours isn't dying but it may
not be fast enough. >> Stay informed about: Geek |

As often as motherboard platforms change today, you may not be able to find a CPU for your
platform a year from now. >> Stay informed about: Geek |

That is somewhat true. Next year it might be a case of just perusing
eBay and finding the best Socket AM2 processor I possibly can. If necessary. >> Stay informed about: Geek |

Mine is a sleek black all over with little lights in different colours that
light up every now and again. The TMB should remember never to get between
a girl and her new games machine. You get yourself a nice new machine Vecki
then come and tell us all about it. Believe me, the gloating is half the
fun.
Best wishes
