Getting exalted with CE has been a long term goal of mine,
unfortunately I have slacked in joining groups for those instances.
Last time I did steamvaults, only 1 Coilfang armament dropped, and I
lost the roll on it anyway. I probably wouldn't grind the rep just
for the mount (they have a ring I want), but would consider buying the
mount if I was already exalted. >> Stay informed about: Netherwing quests |

I have seen one too, only once. I won't buy one now, because my only
character exalted with CE is my druid, and he doesn't need a mount. >> Stay informed about: Netherwing quests |

My normal questing and some instances (I did heroic slave pens some times,
and tried some heroic underbog to get a staff on the first or second boss)
gave me some rep. I was 9000/21000 when I decided to get the last points.
So I bought some coilfang armaments on the alliance AH, and transferred it
to my horde druid (there were more armaments on alliance side, and the
price was more interesting). And then I asked my guild for help. With my
guildies'help, I did two steamvault runs, without any survivor. And they
were kind enough to give me all the armaments. It helped a lot. >> Stay informed about: Netherwing quests |

Me neither. The reason I keep talking it up ("Coolest mount ever!") in
guild chat and elsewhere is to goad someone into buying it so I can see
it in action. I've no intention of wasting my OWN cash on it! >> Stay informed about: Netherwing quests |

Grats! That 5k grind is tough but there is just no going back from the
uber fast flying mount.
I think I got my 5k from grinding Aldor rep, then started the Netherwing
quests inadvertently (never knew until later that epic flying skill was
a prereq) and got the Netherwing mount *before* I ever unlocked the
Ogrila dailies. Weird how that turned out since most people do it in
the opposite order, but I never could get a 5-man together in BEM.

Did that one a couple times. Slow as molasses. Never again. I suspect
you'd get more cash and rep from just grinding flayers or whatever and
collecting trash drops and the occasional egg.

This one I did once only. You have to trek out to the mobs you need to
grind, then bounce around for the poison deliveries. Too long.

Yeah that's a slow one. Once you have unlocked the other mine quests,
it's not so bad but you may still wind up doing this one bi-daily since
you'll generally only collect half the crystals you need as you complete
the other quests. If you're determined to finish it, the highest drop
rate is off the crust bursters in the bottom of the mine.

The Netherwing quests are lucrative but it gets tedious like anything
else. I was tank-spec when I was doing that grind so I'd turn on the

While I was out at Netherwing Ledge I noticed a few things.
A building with an "innkeeper", but you can't set your hearth to him.
And outside that building a mailbox.
I didn't check to see if the inn puts you in a rested state. Not a
big deal at level 70, but if you want to log out quickly its nice to
have such a convenient inn location. Anyone know if the inn is
usable, if the innkeeper ever lets you set you hearth there, and does
the mailbox there ever become usable? >> Stay informed about: Netherwing quests |

Nope, no inn benefits at all there. Too bad. I think those orcs could
manage to get it working. And they should repair the mailbox too, let
you send letters to Illidan. >> Stay informed about: Netherwing quests |

Same deal here I think, managed to find a Zuluhed group not long after I
got my epic flyer, but still no luck on the Ogrila prequests... revered
with Netherwing so far and nowhere with Ogrila

Yup, some quests are very fun, others are a bit boring, I just do the fun
ones now, booterang, mining, flayers and cargo.

BOOTERANG! I like to fly around on the epic mount and see how big a

Snort. I have a macro that targets 'disobedient' and throws the booterang,
and I spam it while flying around until it finds one. There's been a number
of times I've finished the quest, turned it in, and then while getting
ready to remount a boot comes flying out of nowhere. *

The good thing is though that once you up your rep a bit more, you'll get
several more mine quests and you can do them all at the same time. There's
flayers to kill, mine carts to pick up, crystals, and ore can all be done in
there. Plus, a lot of the time you'll pick up a netherwing egg or two off of
random drops or just laying around.
I agree with you about those miserable elites that wander around the outside
though. No other zone seems to have as many elites as SMV, that wander up
behind you without any warning. It takes the elite a couple of shots to kill
the felguard, and then I run like hell, but so far not once have I ever
managed to escape.
