I did say "Free", as in the OSI definition of "Free".

Most people on Linux, however, will already have, or will find it easy
to get, SDL and GTK. The main issue here is that no-one maintains or
wants to maintain a bare X11 port, and with good reason.

It's pointless now, but it might not be in future, plausibly. So I
think keeping it is better than not.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you as well. You've been doing a GREAT
job so far, not simply "OK". I know it's hard trying to please as many people as
possible with your changes/updates, but overall I think the development of
Angband has been moving forward, not backward, and that's a good thing.
