It depends on if the custom plug on the back of the 360 has digital
capabilities or not. If it doesn't then Microsoft is sunk. If it is
then all they have to do is release a compatible cable.

mostly likely path to HDMI output on the 360. I used to think MS had a
back door to bridge the analog output on the 360's GPU, and thereby to
create a breakout box solution, but lately I'm not so convinced. If it
were possible to create an add-on or upgraded A/V cable, MS would've
done so (and had it in stores this Christmas).

HDMI or Rumble ... which would you rather not have? - I think it's time to bring this subject up again. All these endless arguments about 1080p and HDMI which don't affect the large majority of gamers while lack of rumble on the PS3 potentially affects every gamer. I am continuing to wonder how many PS3..
