Most distros have their own support forums. There are also shed loads of
help pages all over the net. I tried Fedora core for a couple of years
and I can definitely recommend that you don't go anywhere near it. My
advice would be Ubuntu. Like most it will setup a dual boot with no
problems at all. If you go for 6.06 it has LTS (Long Term Support) which
is quite nice. Most distros (Including Ubuntu 6.10) get updated every 6
months with support for 18 months. I think Sid has made the best comment
though, go get some live CDs. See if they support your hardware. Go here
http://distrowatch.com/ for links to all distros and a load of
information on them all. If you do install Ubuntu look for a programme
called Automatix
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=138405 I
promise you once that is installed you will wonder why you ever used
Windows.
