Did you manage to beat Darius in career mode? Which car did you use against
his audi?
I'm desperately trying with a corvette z06 with no success...

I think it depends on how the game "handicaps" each car versus
how fast the car is. I couldn't beat Darius in the Skyline,
but I was able to beat him in the Supra, which is actually
slower. The issue I had with the Skyline was adjusting the
suspension for oversteer / understeer, which at the time,
I didn't know was reversed. On the suspension setting,
oversteer is to the right, understeer is to the left.
The tire setting is the opposite, oversteer / drift
is to the left, understeer / grip is to the right.

how fast the car is. I couldn't beat Darius in the Skyline,
but I was able to beat him in the Supra, which is actually
slower. The issue I had with the Skyline was adjusting the
suspension for oversteer / understeer, which at the time,
I didn't know was reversed. On the suspension setting,
oversteer is to the right, understeer is to the left.
The tire setting is the opposite, oversteer / drift
is to the left, understeer / grip is to the right.

In the end I made it!
It took me 2 days , after playing with settings and being very aggressive
on the first corner.
It was definetely not the best setup for the corvette but I made it fore a
mere 45 points.
The corvette they give you in the third challenge series is way better
tuned.
