I have tried out the tip I got a while ago about the dot in the center of
the screen. Does not work in
BF2. But seems to work in 1942. Got a new class 'corpral' and chose the
Scoped med weapon. I got to have a scope because of my colorblindness in
greens and browns. Getting to like the game more all the time. Need more
work to bring up my ratings in badges higher than "satisfactory" . Rather
bland rating, got to do better. I want to thank you again for the advice.
It has made things a lot better for me. BTW if I ever get you in my
crosshairs I won't pull the trigger. I owe you. Sprink

Bullet spread is simply from inaccuracy as the bullet leaves the barrel.
Bullet drop is due to gravity acting on the bullet after it has left
the barrel. For pistols and submachine guns, bullet drop is essentially
irrelevant because at ranges where bullet drop is significant, the
weapon is totally inaccurate anyway. For assault rifles and,
especially, sniper rifles, the weapon can still be accurate, but bullet
drop has to be taken into account.

All I can suggest is find a server you like, one where the regular
players aren't dickheads. Become a regular on a couple of servers
instead of just jumping on the first one in the list each time. Given
time you may be invited to join the clan that owns the server. A good
clan will welcome a new member whatever his skill. They will help you
with skill and tactics, answer all of those little questions that make
the game more enjoyable. This game was invented to play against real
people not AI. It's so much better when these people are your friends...

Yes, depending on the situation there is a "probability cone" where the
bullet has a random trajectory within the cone.
You go prone, and the cone is smaller.
Stand up and jump, and the cone is bigger for a bit.
Different weapons have different cones.
Note, that characteristic is independent of the bullet drop, which is a
separate physical modeling algorithm applied in the game engine. They are
both present, and to play well, you need to be aware of and understand how
to manipulate both of them. >> Stay informed about: .50 cal sniper rifle in BF2 Big Deal |
