Zoom in.... put a very small blob of blu-tac at the centre of the
crosshairs, and then zoom back out. Your blu-tac 'X' will mark the
proverbial spot.

Ignore the image of the rifle - it's a representation (for style) and is not
accurate.

*Or*

Play the game as is was intended and accept that it's better to use the
snipers rifles at range. Marking the centre spot is not strictly cheating,
but IMHO it goes against the spirit of the game.
