Haha.
At our place (Scottish and Southern Energy) we have some shops up in
Scotland.
These places are so remote that some days they just take a day off - we
get loads of errors because the server hasn't been turned on, and grief
because we can't contact the shop

.
Or, sometimes, they just UNPLUG the machines - straight from the switch
- to plug in a kettle to make some tea!
Then there's the network guys. We've been having slow transfer speeds
(like 60Meg/s) across the network - and some mid-transfer failures. We
inform them who simply do a ping, find it's pinging and just reply "it
pings - it's OK".
I have many conversations with God (the big-G-man).. It usually involves
me at 2am, lying in bed asking alot of questions, swearing, and
provoking an answer. God just smirks back I guess - have never received
an answer.
