Hi All,
(I hope this post is allowed. if it's not please let me know and I will remove it/make it a blank post)
I just wanted to let you guys know about a free flash arcade website I just launched. It's at: http://www.gamingforcharity.org
It works like this:
Each time you visit a page to play a game, your click is tallied. Every month, the amount of clicks are totaled and then our sponsors are charged a fee. Once the sponsors pay us for displaying their ads, 85% of the money goes to different organizations. The other 15% goes to keeping the website up and running (aka...it pays for our hosting!). Once our hosting is covered, 100% of all profits will go to the different organizations.
We are currently donating to:
1. International AIDS Vaccine Initiative
IAVI's mission is to fund the development of a vaccine for the HIV virus.
2. United Nations World Food Programme
The WFP's mission is to get people out of hunger. They deliver food to over 90 million people every year.
3. National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
The NBCF gives free mammograms to women who cannot afford them and works to educate the public on breast cancer.
We just started, so we obviously don't have too many people going to the site. Once a decent amount of people start going to the site and the donation amount starts to increase, we plan on lowering the amount we take out to keep the site running. Our goal is to only have to take 5% or less out.
I would really appreciate it, even if you are not really interested, if you would at least take a look at the site. And of course, if you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks!
