I bought Gothic II back when it was first released in the U.S. I never got
around to finishing it because I got distracted with some other things.
Since Gothic II Gold was released recently, I decided to pick that up and
finally finish the game + expansion. That means I have an extra copy of
Gothic II (regular, not Gold) available. I'd get peanuts for it if I sold
it, so I'm offering it for free.

The first reply I see here gets dibs. Include an email address I can reach
you at. I will then contact you via email to get shipping information.

To keep my cost to an absolute minimum, this offer is only open to those in
the U.S.

Yeah, I didn't know what to do with my copy of Gothic II when I picked
up Gothic II Gold. I ended up donating it to Goodwill along with some
old clothes. This approach is excellent though as it helps guarantee
someone who truly appreciates it will acquire it.

Ha, I would try to grab it, but I am in germany. The shipping would be too
expensive I guess

I'm *pretty* sure that, excluding the graphics (and the inventory,
duh), G2 is still a better game than Oblivion ever will be. It is so
refreshing to play a game which is NOT nurturing the player all the way
along.

Absolutely! This is definitely not a game for the Joe Sixpacks out
there.

Absolutely. Gothic 2 was a challenge and I felt a bit of pride at
having eventually completed it. There were times when I died but most
of the time I was able to estimate whether my character was ready for a
situation or not from a glance. I know I'll love Gothic 3 much more
than Obliviion, but I'm still hoping Oblivion ditches the direction
Bethesda has been taking with its games lately.

I'm a bit surprised there haven't been any takers yet! Actually, no I'm
not. With Oblivion coming out, I can understand the lack of interest. A
pity though, because Gothic 2 is a great game. It really is refreshing to
play an RPG like this. I've been playing a hugely popular MMO which I
shall not name, and playing Gothic 2 is a shock because I actually have to
think and pay attention to complete quests. And most can be finished in
more than one way.
