Hi bumchums!

If I want to play High def video files on my PS3, which format do they
have to be in?

I nomaly use .avi when playing on my el cheapo DVD player (Bush,
£28.99 at argos)

Is it the MP4?

2nd question - if I want to "drag" media files (like Mp3. Mp3 or what
ever) to the PS3 hard drive - how do you do it

Ta

(PS I have only had my PS3 a week... a good FAQ/guide link may help
with all these questions!)

Get a USB memory stick/thumb drive and copy them onto that and then
copy them off again at the PS3 end. Or set-up a DNLA-compliant media
server and simply play them from the PS3 without copying them
anywhere. I have recently done this using MediaTomb under Linux and
it works well, except that when you have many files it's difficult to
navigate down the list of titles - the PS3 needs an iPod-like thing
where when it gets to a point it accelerates to scrolling by first
letter.
