flight simulator 2004 weather setting problems

I recently started using the custom and advanced weather settings in fs
2004. I typically set weather conditions for my starting airport and
destination airport using the specific station setting and set the
conditions for those stations not selected last. Usually things run
fine except when I get near the destination airport the weather on the
screen is not what I set. When I go back and check the settings they
have changed. I've had other problems but the basic issue is that the
weather will sometimes not matich my settings or the settings will
actually change.

So far I have tried rebuilding the config. file, launched the game in
safe mode, downloaded the 9.1 update. and tried a host of workarounds
on my own. I've been on the phone twice with Microsoft to no avail. I
have a new computer running windows xp which exceeds all of the minimum
system requirements for the sim.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this problem.

go to learning center / index / W-weather / choosing / using user defined
weather

once there read about it, the key is using 'weather stations' . i forget
how to do it , but it is explained there. with a little tweaking and
testing, i'm sure you will be able to find your desired results.
