Also tried and uninstalled already but here are some little things I picked
up on:
- Initial splash screen references "Navteq" who also happen to be a
supplier/sub contractor/contributor to Google Earth (their name pops in when
you click on the "Roads" check box in GE)
- Although it may be because the CRJ "mission" is canned, the ATC
interaction between your co-pilot and controllers is much more natural and
real world like.
- Moving Cars...kinda cool ... moving waaaay too fast though (Could work at
Daytona or Talladega though...airports are right next to racetracks
there...)
- When I parked the CRJ, a baggage belt and luggage cart pulled up to the
plane (did you notice sillouettes of people in the tower?)
- Fabulous water effects but not when you land on it. Still the weak little
cotton balls instead of real spray.
- Spot View stays at the elevation you set it at. ie, if you set it 10'
above, then change the axis, the elevation stays 10' above and doesn't
reset to on plane...
- Damn near corn-holed a yacht landing on the water with the Beaver.
- Tower view really does watch you from the tower...closest one too. (Hope
it no longer will chase you...instead, I hope it hands you off to next
nearest...)
- Aircraft Lighting Effects (Strobes, Beacon, etc...) need serious work.
Beacon on the Baron made the entire exterior skin "pulse" in brightness.
- Nice surround sound. When you pan off, the sound migrates to the correct
channel in space and intensity.
- IMO, better looking runway and taxiway textures. Same with painted lines.
- I think the effect of distance is a little better (far off to the horizon
feels right...too soon to really tell though.)
<Shrug>
Huge upside potential. Can't possibly begin to run it maxed out but maybe
Santa Wife will let me get some new toys for XMas...
Let the debate begin...
