Oblivion Grumble - Hey do they believe everyone can afford to upgrade systems? Oblivion is for a Pentium 4 and on DVD only, I don't rate that high and I don't own a dvd player for the computer; have a stand alone only and couldn't play it on this anyway and I would have to

I am running daggerfall under the xp patch.
everything seems to work, except actually shooting a destruction spell.
my mouse key for 'use weapon' doesn't fire the spell. is there also a
key binding?
So anything that doesn't need targeting (slowfall, for example), works
fine.
Known bug? Am I just silly? |

Assuming that after you choose which spell you want to fire, you get a
crosshair and the "fire spell at target" message, I think the problem
may be as simple as using the wrong mouse button to fire the spell. In
Daggerfall, you use the left mouse button to fire spells, not the
right mouse button (the "use weapon" button).

't was even simpler. Shock, the default spell, requires closeness. I
thought remembering it could be used at range. Mea Culpa.

You're welcome. You have to be careful of those touch and ranged and
area spells. For instance Toxic Cloud is an "area around the caster"
spell and the range is pretty short.
