Veryyyyy short! "The Last Revelation" kept me busy for about two months
(at least). Played the main adventure of TR:L in about a week and it was
nice but nothing special. Perhaps my expectations were to high.
Game lookes fine and OK but as i mentioned earlier, graphics not
spectacular. Game played fluid and the control system was nice layed
out. Some moves looked fine but had no special in-game function. Camera
was sometimes a real pain in the ass. After playing the game i have some
second thoughts.
Tomb Raider: Legend, has become a mainstream game made for the big
audience. Nothing wrong with that but the gameplay suffered in my
opinion. It was such an easy game to play. Absolutely no challenge. I
was only stucked once in the game and i'm definitly not a hardcore
gamer. Level design was very lineair, no surprises here. The hint system
was even an embarassing adjustment. I want to solve the puzzles by
myself not by a flashing light guiding me in the right direction or with
a binoculars equiped with some stupid RAD thing or pushing some buttons
in the right sequence during a cutscene. Ok, i can go back and play on a
different level of difficulty but that doesn't change the gameplay a
lot.
After all, i enjoyed it while it lasted and it was fun to play another
Tomb Raider game.
