Post subject: How to find a hard core guild or a guild for old ppl
Archived from groups: alt>games>warcraft (more info?)

I am on the andorhal server horde side, I have come to really enjoy the PvP
aspect of the Game. I could play the AB as often as I can get in. I would
like to get w/ a team of ppl that took it serious, actually planned, plotted
and strategize, All I have been able to do is get into which ever group I
happen to get, There have been great groups and then there have been those
that have so much bickering and name calling it was terrible.

Also I am fairly old, surly there has to be old heads out there like me. I
would like to run instances that were scheduled with another ppl in my ,
shall we say demographic. I think that I am missing so much of the game by
not having a team to run with. Maybe, just maybe I can exact revenge on that
group of Alli that killed me over and over lat night in the SoS. Operative
word being group 10 of em against me Wink If you happen to be one of them
keep looking over your shoulder I checked the combat log & I got you
name....I will not rest until I find you, kill you and kill you again.
Sorry I digressed for a moment

Any suggestions or maybe you are in a guild that is recruiting I am a LVL 41
shammy that is MOUNTED.

Come on you working adults with families tell me what you all do

Putz ~The up and comming Shammy

sounds like my experience against the horde last night! maybe one of
them was you! Smile

on the bright side, both AB runs took only about 2 mins in the queue, so
far i haven't experienced these hour long waits everyone talks about

Have you tried checking the official forums for your server? There's
usually guild listings if people bother to make them, you might find
something that suits you Smile

Otherwise, just post on there, if anyone is on your server that fits your
bill, or indeed you fit theirs, I'm sure they'll pop up Very Happy

That's funny nope it wasn't me. I have come up with my own rules of
engagement or conduct code.

I will not fight a guy that is already engaged in combat. At the worst I
will let him live until either he has defeated the MOB and has had a chance
to regain some health

After I kill a player I will go on about my business or leave the area. If I
have business in that area I will allow him to iniate combat. after they
made their copse run

I will not Gang up meaning that there is 5 of us and 1 of them, since I solo
allot that really happens

I will not start a fight with some one lower than me , more than 7- 10
Llvls. unless they feel foggy and attack first.

My thinking is this is how I like to be treated so If I put out some good
Karma it will come back on me

Hmmm, well then it definitely wasn't you who I had to deal with *after*
the BG. Silly me, I was still marked as PvP while running through AH,
and of course some level 39 rogue comes out of nowhere and attacks me.
Here I am just trying to get to the mountains to do a quest, and now I
have to deal with this jackass.

So I get away from him, then try to wait out the PvP flag, but of course
he's invisible, finds me, attacks and someone else joins in and they
kill me. I figure a corpse run is a stupid idea because they might just
be waiting there, and I wasn't sure if I could wait 5 minutes in ghost
form for the PvP to wear off, so I res, take the sickness, then have to
wait 10 minutes before I can continue with my quest.

I'm so glad I didn't choose a PvP server. It's just not my thing when I
don't choose for it to be, i.e. BGs.

What Lvl are you? I wrote a bitch letter when I was in my mid 20's. I fell
off the boat from Ratchet and swam into ?? mobs, the Bloodsail's . I was
killed over and over. At the time I did not understand where I was. (spirit
healer next to the entrance to BB.) All I saw was Alli running in and out of
the tunell. SO I avoided that place like the plauge, silly me. This was my
first trip to ratchet. I Was autobuffing my lighting shield and could not
figute out why the gaurds were killing me. Honestly who could write this
stuff. I was killed over and over and over By alli mobs and guards. All I
could do was hide, wait on my hearth stone to recharg and . get back to TB.
The worst thing that I thought could happen turned out to be the best....
When I was able to connect the dots.

Someone explained that PvP is like spicy food, Its good but sometime can
really leave you w/ a chaffed ass. Thsi is so true. Wait until you try to
turn in a quest to Ness. in STV both alli and horde turn in a quest theere.
There were a few times the turn in took longer that the quest itself. I
soloed all those Hunting quest. This is where i honed my noticed my Fighting
ability

Won't matter though, because I'm PvE thankfully.

My team is "old people" on Bleeding Hollow and we have some die-hard
PvP'ers. (Not me. I'm off playing on a PvE server because I want to quest
and follow the story line. I'll go to the battlegrounds when I want to
PvP.)

You can see our age demographic here:

http://matureasskickers.net/m/roster/age/

(This includes all our teams, not just WoW. We started in Tribes 2 and also
play Battlefield and Guild Wars, as well as other games.)

Our recruiting process is long and based on maturity and community, not
skill. Patience is a virtue. We look for people who will stay with us long
beyond any single game.

But you don't need to be a member of our long-term organization to be in
our in-game guild. Being in our guild is sort of like being a "regular" in
one of our FPS game servers.

We don't just play on a PvP server, and on the PvP server we do a lot of
questing. We just have a group that enjoys world PvP a lot.

Today a few of us were doing a quest in the eastern Hinterlands that
involved harvesting meat from the stealthy wolves there. There's a Horde
base nearby and little time went by before a few Horde started attacking
us. Before you knew it, we had a huge group there (about 10-15 guildies)
camping the attackers to get them off us while we finished our quest.

We have a Horde group on Aerie Peak, but we're PvE there.

I recommend playing both sides. Otherwise you're missing out on half the
game. I now have toons of all races and classes and professions. It's like
having the choice of a different game every day.

But I know MA has a few hard-core Alliance who think it unspeakable that
anyone would play Horde.

Do the Horde have Warlocks? Just curious. I like playing a Warlock
and just might want to try a character in the Horde.
