You'd prefer collect X Y's quests, or maybe kill X's until you get the 2%
drop for a Y.
Yep I just love killing mobs for 2 hours and that rare drop I need jus wont
drop.

besides which if you have name tags off for unselected mobs, then the
targetted mob will stand out like a sore thumb.

Theres only 1 escort quest I always skip (unless I hav a group) and thats
the alliance escort quest of that guy from the north east of swamp of
sorrows.

He walks through a campful of about 5 casters (wih imps).

All other escort quests I know of are easy enough if youre a couple of
levels above the quests level, and that way they still give full xp. (which
is usually prety good).

I prefered the STV ones, though those were harder on a PVP server than
the Nagrand ones. He had more quests in STV, with a lesser number of
mobs to kill per quest. Killing 30 of each kind in Nagrand just felt
like it took forever.

PVP realm with a 3:1 alliance to horde ratio, and probably the time of
day I attempted it didn't help either. After that, I didn't feel like
fighting my way through a bunch of fire elementals to get to him
again, and didnt feel the quest rewards were worth it, so I abandoned
it.

I always assumed that was the intended joke from the devlopers with that
quest! Murlock spines being a low rate drop from snivelling little
bastards.

What about the stupid turtle escort quest in Tanaris that takes you
diagonally across the entire zone? Took forever and you are gank bait
half the time when you get near the coast or a passing enemy sees you!

If you don't like a quest, don't do it?

The nesingwary quests may have been boring, but they are great for
leveling up fast (since all the mobs are close together, sometimes TOO
close together), and there are really nice rewards.

I like the outlands version a lot more than the stranglehorn ones. *

That one is the hardest by far. You have to stay GLUED to that
chicken no matter what. I look forward to a quest someday to feed
Obnoticus (sp?) to a cave full of hungry yetis, gorillas, and gnolls.
Or better yet, a cave full of hungry yetgorolls, fearsome hybrid
beasts. Wink

I found that quest on one of my horde characters, so it's not just for
Alliance. And despite the fact the guy wades straight into large
packs of mobs, the distance travelled was remarkably short, IIRC. He
basically walks about 50 feet before telling you he'll take it from
there, lol. Doing that quest as an appropriate level resto shaman was
some kind of tough, let me tell you. Smile The cool thing was I killed
a rare spawn in the process, a Lost One Cook.

I agree. Actually I need new areas for my lowlevel char(s). I do *not*
need replacements for my too-fantasic equipment which I have got from the
latest heroic run or such in some instance. Sad

Bringing Ringo back to the Marshal camp is one of the easiest escort
quests in the game - he follows you. Just wake him up when he passes
out but otherwise this is 5 minutes of easy walking, tops.

This seems to have less to do with the quest than with your groupmate.

It's your $15 of course, but single-player games seem so empty to me
now. Pretty much anything I'll spend any significant amount of time
playing will be online and multiplayer. I'm just spoiled that way,
and even the idiots can make a game interesting.
