If you don't like them, you don't have to do them.

Personally, go kill x number of mobs quests are great. I mean I'm going to
go kill something anyway. I might as well get some quest XP for it later
on.

None of them. Can't fear any of the group Nessingwary mobs.

Nah.. Better skip those really annoying Escort quests with toons that walk
like drunk, run across bridges to join a fight, run back to were they
started runnig en walk again... fight till death when they only had 3 more
inches to walk to their release-spot... Yuck! These are the quests I allways
skip.

yeah they are better than the quests, where you have to collect 10 items
from mobs that drop so rare you end up killing 50 until you have what you
need to complete the quest Wink

Lol yeah worg tails is a pain, though not so bad as fenclaw hides were the
first few times. Amazingly, I got a 100% droprate and was done with it in 5
minutes when my lock did that quest the other day... my other 3 high level
chars spent 30+ minutes on it, being lucky to get one drop in 5-6 kills.

The Outland escort quests turned out a lot better than some of the
Azeroth escort quests I have done. Specifically, the mechanical
chicken escort quests in Tanaris, Feralas, and Hinterlands. And the
troll escort quest in Hinterlands. Then the goblin in Un'Goro is a
nightmare.

Most of the Outland ones though, while challenging, were at least
soloable at the level they were designed for. Unlike the Azeroth ones
that really need a group.

My lvl 70 Hunter, who was finishing up quests for "completeness" sake,
failed that Feralas chicken escort quest 3 times. Not because she or
her pet died, but because the stupid chicken would keep walking away
every time the 5 Gnolls spawned at the end. I'd try to freeze the
Gnolls/slow then down/sic my pet on them to try and chase the chicken
down to get its attention, but something would always Daze me, the
chicken would get too far away, I'd fail the quest, and be left with
the image of a plump mechanical chicken butt wobbling off into the
horizon.

Actually, for the named elites it's trivial to find them if you do a little
creative macro work.

Just make a 1 line macro:

/target XXX

Where XXX is the name of the elite. Then wander the area spamming the macro.
Eventually it will target the elite you want.

Now, if you're a pet class (warlock or hunter), just send in the pet to attack
and follow the pet all the way to the mob.

If you're NOT a pet class, just remember that mind control gives you a
tempory "pet". Smile

Oh? You can't cast mind control on a fellow party member you say?

What happens if you have a friendly little duel?

If you're a priest to be able to cast Mind control, then if the mob is
close enough to /target, then it's close enough to Mind vision.

Though your idea would be more fun. ; )

Yeah, I hate those. Someone explain to me how every boar doesn't have a
liver and intestines? I think they assign the design of those quests to
overworked interns or something.

The one I most love is all the headless murlocs in Hillsbrad... all the
more annoying when you only get the quest after killing 20 murlocs in the
previous step!

Aha, thanks for the tip there, was wondering whether I'd have a chance at
soloing them on my lock, but had the feeling they were unfearable... hadn't

After promising myself I would never do another one of these, my hunter
grouped with a druid to do the mechanical chicken escort in Tanaris on
Sunday. Blecch! Not only do I hate these quests, but by the end of it I
wanted to sic my wolf on the druid, who remained in bear form and hopped
over the chicken repeatedly throughout the quest! He'd only stop when mobs
attacked.

Bleah. Never again, unless I can solo it.

It is, yes, and a rather annoying one Wink We only have a few quests in
Hillsbrad so I suspect most people skip it, but for some reason I like the
place so keep on going back.

Lol Smile Well it's not only alliance quests; my blood elf had a quest to get
spines from murlocs, and found one heck of a lot didn't have any spine... I
literally did over 2/3 of a level just killing murlocs to get six spines,
and this was around lvl 13 or 14, so that was a few kills needed...
